The Start

This blog took a very long time to create. About 25 years, give or take a few. I am not talking about technical issues, of course. I started my first blog back in the 1990s when blogging first became a thing. But that and all the ones that followed all were all somewhat related to a business venture.

What I was looking for though was a place where I did not have to be ‘on’. Where I could be me, share, disconnected from, or independent of any business agenda – at least that’s the intention. Over the years that looking was replaced with more pressing affairs, the turbulences of life. Until that urge made a fresh appearance this weekend.

Since I could not find that place, I created it. Here we go.

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act. The rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do.”

Amelia Earhart

The decision has been made. Now my level of tenacity will make this something worthwhile, or not. And that again is a decision in itself.

I am planning on only short articles. Nothing elaborate. Also, I don’t intend to promote this blog on a large scale. It’s mostly for me, with the added intention of being valuable to some extent for people who find it.

One more thing … please bear with me: If I would create this the same way I have created most things in my life, I would sit down, build a nice design – and not publish anything until I am satisfied with the design. Not this time. I am building as I write. Piece by piece as time permits. Hence the subtitle “under construction”.
